Life got pretty interesting/crazy when my husband unexpectedly lost his job! This was while we were still in the middle of trying to bounce back after losing so much money selling our house. We were stuck in a financial rut after that fiasco and things got even better (heavy sarcasm there) when my husband came home one day in the middle of the work day and told me he'd been let go. He worked for an IT company called USI who was contracted with our local Air Force base. USI was losing its contract with the Base and had begun to let the team go one by one back in April. They only kept my husband because he was still needed to help out with a project (unbeknownst to us). Once they didn't need him anymore, they booted him too, smh. Without warning too. Things were a little rough for a while, to say the least. I was pretty stressed out and blogging was the last thing on my mind.
Fortunately, baby boy is still growing we'll. He's incredibly active. Like.....he never. stops. moving. Its nuts. I don't remember the babies being this active in my other pregnancies! I should have one more ultrasound so I'll get to see him again before he comes. Im excited for that
I had my glucose test last week and thankfully passed. I was pretty nervous because last pregnancy with Levi I had to take the 3 hour one. It was not cool. I passed the three hour one but I was very nervous that I would fail the one hour this time and have to take the three hour one again! Thankfully, I don't.
Also, a couple weeks ago, I had bright red bleeding. It wasn't a lot at all and came out of nowhere! There was no cramping or contractions that came along with it. I was told to go get checked out at the hospital. By the time I got there, the bleeding had turned brown and was pretty much non-existent. So the they just monitored baby and me for an hour and sent me home! Told me that it was probably my cervix reacted from too much strain and said to take it easy over the weekend. I haven't had anymore episodes like that, either, thankfully
I am 28 weeks today! Hello Third trimester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am soooo excited to be in this trimester. This means I have 9 more weeks until baby can come!!
Unfortunately, since we have been so tight financially this whole pregnancy (first with prepping to sell the house, then losing so much money selling the house, then hubby losing his job for almost two months with no savings to fall back on) we have not been able to buy anything for the baby. I have clothing that I had previously given my sister in law for her son. But...that's it. I got rid of everything after having Levi because, at the time, I was "done having babies"...lol..Famous last words, huh?
Baby update:
How far along? 28 weeks
How big is the peanut? The size of the head of a cauliflower
Total weight gain/loss? 30lbs (160)
Maternity clothes? Yep! I like to wear dresses for the most part because I don't like anything on or under my belly. During the week when Im out of the house I wear maternity pants usually..ugh. I hate them because I hate the stretchy part so tight on my belly But, usually resort to leggings and a tank top around the house.
Sleep? Its still annoying to sleep but I have just just sleep in my recliner on my back . I don't let the recliner recline too far back so that helps with the GERD, too
Morning sickness? Its gotten sooo much better within the last couple weeks. Im very surprised that it lasted this long. I still sometimes need to take the zofran at least every couple of days but I don't rely on it anymore, thankfully
Best moment this week? Nothing really happened this week, but last week finding out that I passed the one hour glucose test was pretty exciting. I had been nervous about it almost the whole pregnancy.
Symptoms? Exhaustion, tender boobs, fire nipples, lower abdominal pain, hip pain, increased appetite but no appetite, swollen and pain in my whole pelvic area
Food cravings? SWEET TEA! soul food, donuts
Food aversions? Ground beef. Anything too cheesy
Gender? BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Labor signs? Not yet. The only alarming thing so far was the bleeding
Belly button in or out? In. pretty flat right now
Movement? Yep. Definitely feeling the little squish all over the place now. He is like an octopus. I can feel him all over...alllllllllll of the time! He never stops moving lol
What I miss? Everything about not being pregnant lol
What I'm looking forward to? My last ultrasound and ......Delivery Day!
Here are a few pics! Look at that belly!
This one is week 25
This was the pic I sent my husband while I was at the hospital for the bleeding episode. As you can see, I was not happy to be here lol

Thank you for this update!
