I had my baby shower and my maternity pics done!!!!!! Im so glad that those events are over with. I planned my shower myself and had a couple friends help decorate and host. It turned out so fun. We had good food and I received some cute items. Unfortunately, I think only one person actually bought off of my registry so we still need to get the items I needed from there. But, I mentioned in my last post that the baby still didn't have a dresser, bassinet, car seat or even a name! Well, I am happy to announce that he finally has two of those items: a dresser and a NAME!!
I have spent the last few weeks washing and organizing clothes into his dresser and am finally feel like things are coming together .
We finally agreed on his name the weekend of my shower:
Brannon Micah Brown
I am in love with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so happy that this little baby finally has an identity LOL
It makes things seem even more real. I also had my maternity shoot done a couple days ago. I can't wait to see how those turned out. For the first time, it was just me. I wouldn't dare try to get the kids involved but usually its me and Daniel. This time I took them alone. I wanted an outdoor fall shoot, but the weather here is so crazy and bipolar that it was hard to gauge when to set the date. The date we set turned out to be freezing cold (Like 27 degree's and then it snowed the very next day!) So we had to do it in a studio. He said that he'd be able to edit to make some look like they were taken outside. So I guess we'll see.
I have been having issues with my iron. Despite being on iron tablets, it's still dropping low. So my doctor switched me to some over the counter tablets and in two weeks we'll see if that worked. If not, I will have to go to triage and get iron through and IV. Sooooooo not looking forward to that! Hopefully these new tablets will help raise my hemoglobin levels. At my next appt, I also have one more ultrasound to make sure he is still head down and will also get my group B strep swab done. She'll also check me to see if I am dilated or effaced/ Hopefully I am!
How big is the peanut? The size of the head of a cantaloup
Total weight gain/loss? 35lbs (165)
Maternity clothes? Yep! I like to wear dresses for the most part because I don't like anything on or under my belly. During the week when Im out of the house I wear maternity pants usually..ugh. I hate them because I hate the stretchy part so tight on my belly But, usually resort to leggings and a tank top around the house.
Sleep? Its still annoying to sleep but I just sleep in my recliner on my back . I don't let the recliner recline too far back so that helps with the GERD, too
Morning sickness? Its gotten sooo much better within the last couple weeks. Im very surprised that it lasted this long. I still sometimes need to take the zofran at least every couple of days but I don't rely on it anymore, thankfully
Best moment this week? Not this week but, last week, finally deciding his name
Symptoms? Exhaustion, tender boobs, fire nipples, lower abdominal pain, hip pain, no appetite, swollen and pain in my whole pelvic area, braxton hicks, fat nose
Food cravings? SWEET TEA! Ice. (crushed)
Food aversions? most foods don't really seem too appeal to me lately
Gender? BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Labor signs? Dropping, lots bits of mucus plug. Increased Braxton Hicks
Belly button in or out? In. pretty flat right now
Movement? Yep. Definitely feeling the little squish all over the place now. He is like an octopus. I can feel him all over...alllllllllll of the time! He never stops moving lol. He switches from side to side throughout the day too!
What I miss? Everything about not being pregnant lol
What I'm looking forward to? Final preparations for the baby to be COMPLETED
Here is my 34 week update pic
